WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW: OUR IDENTITY & AUTHORITY IN CHRIST
- We are a new creation — the old is gone.
- “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
- “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
- We have been transferred out of Satan’s authority.
- “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.”
— Colossians 1:13
- “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.”
- We have authority over the enemy.
- “Behold, I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
— Luke 10:19
- “Behold, I have given you authority… over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
- We are seated with Christ in heavenly places—above all demonic power.
- “And raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
— Ephesians 2:6
- “And raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
- The devil is already defeated.
- “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
— 1 John 3:8
- “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
WHAT WE NEED TO DO: WALK IN FREEDOM
1. Submit to God & resist the devil
- “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
— James 4:7
We must fully yield to God—no hidden doors, no divided loyalties. Then we can resist confidently.
2. Renounce the past out loud
- “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but rather expose them.”
— Ephesians 5:11
We should verbally renounce all past witchcraft—breaking soul ties, rejecting objects, names, rituals, or pacts. Speaking it aloud in prayer has power.
3. Use the Word like a sword
- “Take… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
— Ephesians 6:17
When tormented, we speak Scripture out loud—truth pushes back lies and oppression. Example:
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn.”
— Isaiah 54:17
4. Put on the armour of God daily
- “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
— Ephesians 6:10–18
We should literally walk through each part in prayer each day—belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, etc.
5. Break agreement with fear, shame, or guilt
- “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
— Romans 8:1 - “God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7
Any voice of shame, fear, or accusation is not from God. We must reject it and replace it with truth.
6. Fill the house—don’t leave a vacuum
- Jesus warned about demons returning if the house is left “empty” (see Luke 11:24–26).
We need to fill our life with worship, Scripture, prayer, and community.
7. Surround herself with spiritual support
- “Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”
— James 5:16
Don’t fight alone. We need trusted believers to pray with us regularly and walk beside her.
FREEDOM DECLARATION IN CHRIST
In the name of Jesus, I declare the truth over my life.
I am a child of God. I am forgiven, redeemed, and made new.
The blood of Jesus has washed me clean. I am not who I used to be.
The old has passed away. I am a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Jesus has delivered me from the kingdom of darkness and brought me into His kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:13)
I no longer belong to the enemy. I belong to Jesus.
Every curse, every tie, every legal right Satan had over me is broken by the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 12:11)
I renounce all involvement in witchcraft and the occult.
I close every door I ever opened to darkness—spoken or unspoken, known or unknown.
I break agreement with fear, shame, guilt, or spiritual torment.
They are not mine, and I reject them in Jesus’ name.
I take up the armour of God today. I wear the helmet of salvation.
I fasten the belt of truth. I stand in the righteousness of Christ.
I lift up the shield of faith and extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy.
I wield the sword of the Spirit, the living Word of God. (Ephesians 6:10–18)
I have authority over every work of the enemy.
Satan has no power over me. I resist him, and he must flee. (Luke 10:19, James 4:7)
I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all demonic power. (Ephesians 2:6)
The Holy Spirit lives in me. Where He is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
No weapon formed against me will succeed. I condemn every lie spoken over me. (Isaiah 54:17)
I live by the truth of God’s Word, not by fear, feelings, or my past.
Jesus has set me free—and I am free indeed. (John 8:36)
Today, I walk in that freedom, with boldness, peace, and power.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
